Asbestos is dangerous when it gets into the air in dust form. If the
surface is damaged and crumbly it needs to be removed. If the surface is
solid, it is often safer to leave it alone than to start removing it.
Removing it often causes it to crumble and become dust- and the added
problem and hazzards of disposing it.

Some asbestos is safer if they do not try to remove it. It will get in
the air but I want to know how they know it is not there now. My floor
is asbestos and if it doesn't come up it is fine THEY SAY but who are
they? ---
