Hi, Marsh...Your way sounds nifty too.
I have a book I bought recently that also gives a neat way of working the
edging around the paper. It's to wet just the edges of the paper and while
it is wet, to pull the edges to tear and ripple. When dry it looks just like
really old parchment edging.
I wish I could find more info on coloring and background motif for the diff.
eras/cultures of illuminations. Also....MaryB gave me some word ideas of
motifs but I wish I could find simple pictures of the diff. Medieval
symbolism of flowers, trees, animals, etc. to use for the kids. Anyone out
there know of anything usable for this? Toodles....Bunki
