Check with your state's department of education. Also, I went through a
program called "Alternate Route to Certification". There are lots of
programs like this out there. Where once you are accepted into the program,
you get certified in your area of expertise. Mine undergrad was art related
(Interior Design/art). So I was accepted into the art certification program.
It is a summer program and lasted 8 weeks. But on top of that, I have also
completed my MA in Art Ed.

This is not the ideal way to go, but if you get accepted, it can certainly
put you on the fast track! Then get the real course work under your belt!
