you all must forgive my absence the past 2 months:
I sympathize with first year teachers (my third year now) as
I am still planning, planning planning (which is why I've been so
absent). This Christmas vacation, I have been assembling a diorama to
use with my Space lesson in January - first time for this but hope to
utilize all the illusions of space in this one project. At least now
I can say that I am starting to roll the bits and pieces of my first
2 years together.
To the first years: this list has provided so much
information that I could never begin to express my gratitude for it.
I especially love and cherish the wisdom of the "elders" - those
teachers who have years of experience and who are so generous. Thank
you to all, & perhaps someday I will join your ranks, but for now, my
own art, my studio, my former clients, my former artist associates &
even members of this list only see a wee part of me as I continue to
put together a curriculum that works for me. Teaching certainly is a
huge job.
