Several of you have asked me off the list what
worked... and San D (my dear friend and angel) gave me
the easiest idea. I did receive other ideas-(they are
saved on the computer at school, only saved this email
at the house)
I hope it will work for you- it did for me- also gives
me a chance to get rid of all that medium I had stored
up. haha
Happy holidays!

San D's recipe for transfer success
Use gloss medium NOT gesso. You 'paint' gloss medium
over the image at least 4 times (letting it dry
between coats, and making sure the coats go in
different directions). THEN, you soak the image that
has been coated, and GENTLY rub off the paper on the
back. You know have a decal of the image that you afix
to the canvas with gloss medium NOT gesso.
As for the decal, I only soak the decal for about 2-3
minutes before I rub off the back. Then I let the
decal dry totally before I adhere it to the canvas. I
use the gloss medium to put it on the canvas, and then
paint a coat of the gloss medium OVER the decal to get
the 'edges' of the decal down.
