I have had people create a vignette with several hands - once mounted on a
board painted as a flag. Several students have done sign language
letters. The best one was when I had a small class and we all made
several hands and made a tree. We used a big piece of appliance styrofoam
as a base - made hands going down as roots and reaching up as branches -
big coat of gesso over everything as a unifier - it lived in the library
for a long time as a "tree of friends" kids signed the base. The recent
posting on masks had several that included hands.
