The school system I am in, Green Bay, has what they call equalization days.
The days that are regularly missed, holidays, etc. are factored in and then
we teach, for example, a Friday schedule on a Tuesday (which never seems to
be missed). Every day gets the same number for the year. Now, sometimes
this gets messed up because of assemblies or the occasional snow day, but
all in all it "equals" out. Carol
