I am also elementary and last year my Fri classes missed a whole 9 classes
equaling half of their grade. ( I grade twice a year only) Also, with some of
these classes being 6th graders, I cringed when I thought how much they didn't
get. This year I was optimistic because they added an extra day for extra time,
but then screwed it up by not having the option of making up time then and
shortening the time to forty minutes ( This probably doesn't make any sense to
you- believe me, it doesn't work to try to make up time then). I am going to our
site based comm. this Spring to try to get something different. It's a mess.
Also, I never understood how aan administrator can think that three teachers can
provide adequate planning for the whole school. Dumb. Betsy
