I teach at 3 schools - although I'm "lucky" enough that 2 days a week I only
teach in 2 of them! :-) Try to build up your supplies so that you have
minimal items to carry (enough scissors for each building, teacher created
visuals of projects for each building, etc.). I try to rotatate my
reproductions so that I don't transport them back and forth - if I plan it
right I only have to move them once or twice per year. You don't HAVE to
have both buildings doing the same projects at the same time - you can paint
Van Gogh's with one 4th grade this week while the other 4th grade in the
other building is studying Seurat. Then the following week rotate the
lessons. Also, try to keep the mediums similiar for each building - if you
are going to do printmaking in one building, go ahead and do it for all
grades you plan on having do printmaking. Don't spread it out, and don't try
transporting all those supplies back and forth. Also, (and one of my worst
habits) is to clean out your "professional" bag. I have a bag that I
transport my lesson plans, books, e-mails w/neat ideas, etc. and I lug it
around until I can no longer get anything into it, then I clean it out. My
life would be so much easier if I cleaned it out weekly (or daily?) *L*
