I respect all the messages from tight painters and agree that tight painting
can be beautiful too. I'm not trying to change anyones style, including my
"tight" student's. BUT, it's my experience, and others as well, that tight
work does not do well at all with the AP exam scores. They are looking for
loose and expressive, with definitive evidence of the "process". This is
what is lacking in the tight painters work, and I know he won't do well with
his scores, even if he does get a job as a medical illustrator, animator,
etc, in the future. What I'm worrried about it this year, and don't want
him to be disappointed with his AP score. OK??
