I have been thinking about doing monoprint portraits off mirrors, but haven't
worked out the logistics. Does anyone have a lesson plan for this or more info
on how the prints were made? I have been thinking about overhead transparency
markers, but I do have water soluble oil pastels. Would the paper need to be
damp to lift the print?
I have been trying to get lower elementary kids to use small hand mirrors for
portraits, but so far haven't been able to make them understand about drawing
the shapes they see in the mirror. One of my mentor art teachers explained a
lesson she did with kinders at the first of the year where she was able to get
then to draw a likeness of themselves with a mirror-- but I am definitely
missing something in the way I teach it.
