I stopped offering AP when I realized that most kids wanted
to take it just to get an honors course with the chance of
raising their GPA. Then, the ones who were going on to Art
schools were not getting any college credit so why bother.
I'd rather have them take a structured class where specific
assignmnets are given. Working independently doesn't work
for many of them. That way, I think,they are better
prepared.
