Some good points Patty- back in the ol'd days before kids were besieged ( in some
cases) with AP classes. I think there was more of a normalcy to high school.
I recently talked with my daughter, who was planning on taking an AP class next
year, in to not taking it. We both agreed, that it wasn't a necessity and not
spending all her time on the devotion an AP class requires, it frees her up to
explore other areas of interest( like photography).
I'm sure AP has it's place for some students, But I'm beginning to think there is
an overkill in pushing kids in to these classes----like kids aren't stressed out
enough these days!
