If she goes to Zany Brainy, Learning Express or some other toy store
(I am not sure about Toys R Us) - they carry a line of toys (some produced
by Lamaze) that are based on the black/white theory. On the back of one of
the boxes there is a boi about the woman that developed them and why - what
research she did - she may be able to access more information from that
starting point.
