This might be a little late for you this year but maybe beginning of next
year you can try it. When I give out my policy sheets in September, I also
include a permission form that is to be signed by the PARENT as well as the
STUDENT plus a place for ME to sign as well...just like a contract. All
policy sheets have to returned signed so this makes it easy for ALL the
permission slips to be signed too. I probably average one student per class
who's parent signs in the "do not give permission" line. There are many
reasons...divorced parent "hiding" their child from other-parent abuse,
families in witness protection, etc.
My form covers all plus explains what will be exposed on the web and the
protection the school provides. If you would like to see my form, let me
know. It's not a biggie and so easy to do at the beginning of the year to
