Recently a strand went through this list about holiday projects.
Also, a while ago, a list member posted her work on "Mail Art"
I just came across this posting from another list:
> Subject: [netsites] Send holiday messages to U.S. troops
>
> http://anyservicemember.navy.mil
>
> Published by the Department of the Navy, this site allows U.S.
> citizens to send holiday messages to U.S. Armed Forces troops
> deployed overseas in the fight against terrorism.

I think I will have my students create electronic "Mail Art" to send to
those that are fighting our battles in far away places.

One way to do something this holiday, and avoid anything religious, is to
remember those men and women that will be far away from home and missing the
pleasures we so enjoy at this time.

Just a thought
