Absolutely, get written permission from the parents. There are a number of
reasons some parents would not want their child's stories or art viewable on
the Internet.... especially if their first and last name is posted along with
it. It's not a big deal with most parents, but it only takes one to make
your life miserable.

Most schools insert a clause into their acceptable use policy. Then students
and parents must agree to the policy before students are allowed to use
computing resources.
