Re: Is Art as Important as the Other Subjects?

Every free space I find in my school is covered with kids art. I also have
a display case in the library.
I want to have an artist of the month and have their pieces matted and framed
to hang in the office. I think that would really make more people notice.
But I guess this year I must be doing something right. My staff voted me
Teacher of the Year! Boy was I surpirsed. It's such a thrill when one of us
specialists recieves that honor. Last year in our district, the District
Teacher of the Year was my son's band director. Hopefully, our city and
school district will continue to honor the arts. Janet
