basic supplies would include
oil pastels
chalk pastels
crayons(various kinds)
markers(various kind s)
tempera paint
Prang watercolors
watercolor paper
drawing paper
block printmaking supplies (ink, brayers, trays)
colored construction paper
pencils
Magic Rub erasers
rulers
supplies for weaving
glue
various sizes of paintbrushes for tempera

other fun stuff
watercolor pencils
watercolor crayons
charcoal (I order sticks and willow bark)
varioius colors of tissue paper
stamps
learn to draw books for free time
clay (either air dry for for kiln if you have one) and clay tools
modeling clay

Of course, as you play projects, you'll need more specific supplies such as
for mosaics.
For your first painting experience, you might order tempera cakes. Easy to
use and easy to clean up. I save baby wipe containers to use as water
containers.
Oh, make sure you have a system for the kids to use when cleaning up messy
materials.

Good luck! Janet
