RE: vaseline of faces with plaster......

My 5th grade classes recently created half masks using the plaster
gauze. I was afraid of the cleanup time with Vaseline, so we used a
plastic grocery bag, cut in 1/2 , then one of those halves was slit
halfway up in the middle. When the unslashed half was placed over the
eyes, the slash parted around the nose. We talked about plastic bag
safety, and how we could do this, carefully. The masks were great,
although we weren't going for detail lifted from the face of the model.
