Gosh. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've had kids use Vaseline on
their faces for their masks and NEVER have had any trouble. Sometimes in the
early years we've had slight hitches with not putting enough around the
hairline or underneath the chin. Geeeee...sucking out eyeball veins sounds a
little drastic or maybe some sort of legend. The vaseline doesn't even make
a real "suction". Kids...while just being kids...tend to work the face
muscles while the gauze is on the face and that loosens it up so no suction
prevails. After having done 100's and 100's of faces, I've never even had
one allergic reaction to vaseline. Hummmmmm. Toodles.....Bunki
