Artists inspired by Jazz?

I'm banging my head against the wall (in time to the music) trying to remember artists whose work was influenced by Jazz. I know there was a strand about artists and music sometime last year, but I can't for the life of me recall what the subject lines were or in what context the posts were written. I'm specifically looking for abstract expressionist artists, but any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone help me?
