I had gotten that message too, in the pop up window about needing a new
password". Sometimes I had no problem but at least twice I DID. If i
remember correctly, I think I also got a message that said I was already
signed on! So I called aol and they told me that I had probably clicked on a
link that enabled my password to get stolen by an entity that sends mass
emailings, like porn!!!!! (I didn't click on porn, but she said that
innocent looking hyperlinks have some kind of password-stealing program that
steals your password to send mail to strangers using YOUR screen name!) Can
you imagine!!!!? I suggest you change your password. Since I changed my
password, I haven't had any problems. But I think it was lucky for me that I
happened to be trying to get on line at the same time this password stealer
was on... It may be happening to anyone and they may not even know it! It
was news to me that that could even happen!!!!
