2 Q's: Painting & list service

I have two questions.

The first is about the list service. I recently re-subscribed and my mail
from the list comes in one chunk. I have to click on this chunk and open
every file I wish to read. Previously when I was a subscriber all the
messages were their own separate E-mail. I prefer the old way better. Is
there any way I can get the old set up back?

Secondly, I start student teaching in January. I just met with my host art
teacher. I am teaching a high school painting class and two sections of 8th
grade art. Does anyone out there have any recommendations for books I could
use to help me plan my units in teaching painting?
