I have succumbed to seating charts to save my brain over attendance record
keeping.
I really would like to spend a year visiting other art teacher classrooms
around the country to share ideas. (perhaps when I have been teaching long
enough to take a sabbatical !)
Do you all do centers in your classroom, like for early finishers or for a
whole lesson, different activities at each table ??
Thanks in advance for any ideas that you post, we can all share if you post
it to the list!!
I have some art puzzles to put put on a table that can be an ongoing center,
and was thinking about some rubber stamp geometric shapes to build up a
selection of decorative paper for origami. Maybe a texture rubbing center
also to make collage papers.Am trying to work out a rubric for self grading
the lesssons this year...the paperwork of recordkeeping is killing me !!!
Have a great school year, my first week is always spent with them going over
the artroom rules, this helps to refresh their memory of what I expect. No
wet stuff like paint or clay until I see that tehy can handle the dry stuff
with respect. :) Chris
