I also have heel spurs. Couldn't walk when I woke up, had to hold on to
something or I'd fall down! My feet got a little better as the day wore on..
Sound familiar? I also have a cement floor, and now wera expensive walking
shoes but, that's not what really helped. I went to several doctors and
finally to a sports medicine doctor. He made molds of the back of my legs
and feet with my feet and legs in walking position, forming a 45 degree
angle. the molds were open in the front, sliped on, and made of plastic. I
wore them to bed, attached with ace bandages. my feet were 90% better after
the first morning! After about a month they were about 95% better. My
doctor explained that the tendons were retracting while I slept so that when
I woke up and put all my weight on ,my feet, the tendons streteched to the
tearing point and couldn't heal. the excruciating pain hasn't come back but
I always wear good shoes now! Ishe todl me I could get the same effect by
feet exercises, but they didn't help me. good luck. Many of us suffer from
this problem
