funny "thingies" in the classroom...

This "rubber hand" is priceless. Thanks for the idea. Now I'm on the
warpath for a rubber hand of my own. Glad Halloween's coming up.
I have a whip coiled up on a hook right by my chalkboard. The entering 6th
graders are always eyeing it. I also have a "foot and hand" coming out of
one of the cabinets. I have monster "hands" stuffed and placed on the top
edges of another cabinet. Looks like a monster lurking from the top and
ready to rise up on it's own.
I have a big green wax frog on my desk that has huge, sharp teeth and
carries a sign that says..."Stay away from my desk!" I have a small sign on
the supply table that says..."This place is NOT normal".
I used to have a sign on the wall next to my desk that said..."If the
teacher ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy" but a parent was not too pleased
with that one and the principal gave me the option (?) of taking it
down...which I did, of course. That was not an important battle to wage so
what the heck.
I have a few other thingies but I'm always on the lookout for kicky things
to catch the little beasties' attentions. If you have some, please respond.
