This sounds like me the day I uncovered the kiddie sandbox after a weeks
vacation...apparently the kids had sprinkled some "bird intended" birdseed
into the sandbox, the plywood lid had been replaced, a few summer showers
ensued, and lo and behold I had a flower garden hotbox!
