I've received several e-mails off list asking about where I got the
information about the Pilgrims/Founding Fathers and early take on Freedom of
Religion. The answer is United States Government/Political Science classes
and US history classes at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

I can't remember the primary material off hand, but the Federalist Papers
and the Anti-Federalist Papers would probably contain some of the
information. Much of that debate centered around rights and how to protect
them. Democracy in America by Alex De Tocqueville may also contain some
information on this also. I should be able to recite sources off the top of
my head. At Southwestern any class past basic Freshman introductions used
primary materials as texts not textbooks of scholars telling us what other
scholars have said about the primary materials. I've not been dealing with
this part of my degree every much in the last few years, so I'm rusty.

I explained when I sign on I am an elementary/elementary social studies
certified teacher working in the Children's Art Museum. We have an
arts-all-level certified teacher, she works at the San Angelo Museum of Fine
Arts and Education Center. We collaborate on activities and designing our
curriculum. She is the art expert, I'm the young kids/elementary students
expert. This is the reason I normally lurk more than talk. The list really
helps me in talking to our young patrons about what they are doing. Our
summer program was much richer this year, because of your input.
