Hello folks! I'm Lisa and I'm a first-year art teacher in a Charter
School here in North Carolina. We use the Hirsch Core Knowledge
Sequence for our curriculum, so the art classes are largely art history
based.

I am a potter, and I also make handmade soaps and toiletries. My class
doesn't have a kiln yet, but I am going to get one asap! My school is
brand new (they are finishing the building as I type this), and we start
on 25 August.

Art history (of any kind) was NOT my best subject in school, so if
anyone has ideas for lesson plans I'd be happy to hear 'em.

Also: I'm on the hunt for some Internet Artists of the Month. If you
do something other than pottery and wouldn't mind answering a few
questions from little kids (K-5 this year), please let me know.
