Wow Betty, pretty impressive. I have done woodcuts with the kids many
years but not in the last several. I went to the lumber yard and got
1x6" pine boards and had them cut them in approx 5" pieces. The lumber
yard guys hated me because I looked all over for clear lumber, or almost
clear. There were only a few boards we couldn't use. Some of the kids
got excited about the idea of knotholes and how they would print--have
them be the moon etc. We always had many cut fingers even tho we used
benchhooks. Doesn't birch etc. plywood cost a fortune--like $60-80 per
4x8' sheet? How big are your pieces? Have you ever used cheap
plywood--like A-C? Did you sand & varnish it down first? Sid
