Hi -
During my student teaching and subsequent work on my own -- I found
some great cleanup rules. For paper, drawing projects -- all must in
order, in portfolios and lockers before being dismissed. The class
would simply wait until this was done. For painting, there were
clean-up crews assigned daily. The sink needed rinsing but that was
about it. When I taught industrial technology, the same was true.
Supplies were counted and checked in, sawdust was swept and all was in
order. Late passes are not given and classes learn quickly that cleanup
and respect for the room are very inportant.
