CAN recipients of the -artsednet - digest- erase any of the material
within the digest or are they constrained to reply while including the
entire 25k of the original digest each and every time?
I'm afraid thet if I cannot identify their personal reply or response i
generally delete digest posts unread.... as I have probably alrady read
90% of what is included in the digest once or twice already.
To understand the problem for readers of these posts, imagine writing a
note in the margin of a short novel and mailing it to a friend as a
letter. The book MIGHT find itself in the local used-book store before
anyone read the message penned at the bottom of page 94.
I realize that digest readers have a busy life, but so do we readers of
their posts to the list.
As I said, I don't know whether or not digest readers can use their mouse
to block and erase the immaterial portions of the daily digest that the
respond to so that recipiants could cut to the meat immeadiately. If they
can I wish that they would. If there is anything I can do to help here,
let me know off-list.
If the material can't be erased, then, my sincere apologies.
