ICT and art educaion

Colleagues,
Don't you think that there must be many of us struggling with the problem
of new media in art education? (Could start a nice discussion.) At least I
am. I wonder who of you would be so kind answering at least some of the
next questions (partially).

The situaton (fiction?):
You are responsible for the new curriculum for students in the art teacher
training department at your university.
Not for the whole curriculum, only for the ICT (computers etc.) part.

First question:
What do the new first year students know when they enter university?
Do they have something in common?

Second question:
What should a student be able to do, what should he/she know in this field,
at the end of his/her study, to be prepared for his/her task as an art
teacher in secondary education?
(This could generate long answers)

Third question:
Is there software which is so excellent ‘educational' that we all should
know its existance?
Are there articles or book chapters about this subject?

Fourth question:
Does any of you know a good (practical) example of using a CD-ROM (which
one?) in art education?
Are there articles or book chapters about this subject?

Fifth question:
Does any of you know a good (practical) example of using the WWW in art
education?
Are there articles or book chapters about this subject?
