It seems that it is not only in the US that sport gets the lion's share
I have been trying now for some months to get enough money together for
my band of crafters to go to the US to promote Southern African arts and
crafts, with very little positive results. The amount I was looking for
was the equivalent of $9 000.00. All I managed to raise was $2000.00.
For 3 people to spend six weeks in the US that works out very rasonably.
However, I got turned down on numerous occasions. What burns my butt
even more, was that soon after a specific company turned me down., thay
announced a $750 000.00 sponsorship for sport.
I will have to persevere and delay my plans until next year. I WILL get
there, even if I have to fund this on my credit card:0
I will be contacting each person I corresponded with individually.
Hope to see you next year
