There is a great video that deals with Hockney's "time works" (he
calls them joiners). It is called Portrait of an Artist, Volume 12
David Hockney from Home Vision, 1-800-262-8600. Shows him actually
creating one particular joiner. The video then goes on to talk about
his paintings, lots of young men and swimming pools, I fast forward
that bit and finishes with a fascinating section where he takes the
concept of joiners into video. It's a great resource which we use
constantly!
