This young (I think) man is doing some very interesting graphics with the
program Painter on the computer. It's worth taking a look, although you may
want to select the images to show your less mature students (no, it is not
porno). His new series of painted photo collages is supposed to be up by
Aug 23.

If you like his work and would be interested in his correspondence, he
contributes to the digital artist mailing list.

I like the idea of asking students working with computer art to keep a daily
sketch journal as a web page (on-line or not). I also like the idea of
taking an image and covering it --digitally or with chalk or paint-- to
create a new image under which the original appears and disappears. Great
project for studying texture, color, composition, etc.
