I am starting a project to restore and archive onto CD-ROM some slides and
filmstrips we use use in our photo program because they are beginning to
deteriorate. I would like to start with cleaner originals than I have to
save lots of labor digitally repairing all the scratches and dirt, not to
mention the color fidelity of a couple of them. They are out of print, so I
can restore these without copyright problems for achival purposes. The set
I need is the Scholastic "Images of Man2" filmstrips and cassettes. They
were produced in the mid-seventies as part of a Concerned Photographers
Program by Scholastic and the International Fund for Concerned Photography,
and feature Brian Lanker, William Allard, Eliot Porter, and Henri
Cartier-Bresson. I would like to borrow/rent/buy anyone's set if you aren't
using them. I can return a set fairly quickly one to two weeks, I'm
guessing. I reeived a grant to purchase slide scanning hardware, so the
process shouldn't take too long. Just thought I'd try you folks while I'm
negotiating with Scholastic!
