Several of my children went to Montisorri Schools. It's been a
long time ago, but at that time the emphasis was on giving the children
positive experiences with thing that they would see again later in school.
For example, algebra equations, or hypothesis so that when they learned it
later in life, they would have positive feelings about learning this
rather than worrying that they couldn't do it.
I also remember they taught the kids to be self reliant ( tie shoes,
dress, wash and fold towels, make phone calls, etc.
I would think that art might be very experiential at this age, but
not sure.
