I, like many teacher use the idea of the African Masks. Especially the
influences of a specific tribes-senufo masks/sculpture, Dogon masks and
temples, Benin masks and Kuba tribal masks. I haven't done these lessons in a
while, but it is all worthy stuff.
I recommend the Seattle art museum to see some great African art. I am not
too "worldly" yet, but that museum is fabulous.--Maria
