Some of the books that I like to use in class with the kids are the =
"Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists" by Mike Venezia. He has =
written about 15 or so books and each one is a biography of a famous =
artist. Mike came to our school and did a book talk. His sister goes to =
jazzercize with a colleague from my school. I often use his books as =
the intro to the study of an artist along withother visuals.
On another subject, any good ideas for a cross grade level unit (1st =
-5th) on Native American culture and heritage? I know that the Heard =
Museum and Crizmac are really good sources for materials does anyone =
have any other really good sources? We have a local education =
foundation grant to purchase teaching materials, visuals, artifacts, and =
consumables. Thanks for any thoughts and ideas!
