Let me add my two cents worth. I love Prang crayons, and water colors
and refuse to substitute. I've also had good luck with Prang pencil,
tempera and acrylics, although I order Crayola if they are cheaper.
This year I also ordered the soybean based Prang crayons and hope they
work as well as the samples I tried. It gives me a good feeling to know
that those crayons are helping the soybean producers in the USA. Since
teaching K-5 I have found that the black Prang crayons are the best for
crayon etching projects. They cover colors much better that Crayola.
