Software that we have at our high school for Macintosh include:
Superpaint good introductory type of drawing program. I have an art room
with 5 copies, my colleague who teacher computer art has a classroom.
I have one copy of Adobe Illustrator (difficult) Fractal Painter 2 and 3
which I really like and would like more--more intuitive and somewhat like
painting/drawing, one copy of Photoshop, Quark Xpress . My colleague also
has Freehand for advanced computer art classes. I recently received a
power mac and would like to upgrade to six power macs for my use in
general art classes in the high school. I would like to have the updates
on Fractal Painter, too for each computer. That is what I will aim for in
the next few years. Although there seems to abe a push to have all IBM
type machines, we are hanging onto our macs in the art dept.
