Melissa Chaney asked about rewarding behavior:

Ever since I started teaching art, I bought the giant size boxes of golfish
crackers, which I pass out, one to each student at the end of class....
providing they have followed rules and worked hard. We also discuss why a
person does not get their goldfish at the end of class.
I find it quite effective to give an immediate response and the kids love it!
(the only problem is... when I meet them later in life and ask if they
remember anything from art class, the answer always is "Goldfish"!)
They cost just under $5 a box and last me about 3-4 weeks. I do find that
many kids will work for a dumb little cracker... it never ceases to amaze me!
My "goldfish crackers' worth" :)
