Betti, I use water-based inks, and I dampen the paper before I pull a
print. I tried a really complex painting, laying my Plexiglas over a
Monet reproduction and I used acrylics, but they dried too quickly.
Even with the damp paper, and later actually wet paper, I had trouble
getting a good proof.
anyway, it is a really interesting, spontaneous endeavor, and I will
keep working at it.
-- By the way, it works best if you use 100% cotton rag paper, and I
wish I had a press...I know I would have had more sucess.
