A great resource is the National Gallery Loan Program. They will loan you
Slides, Videos,Laser Disks, Teacher Packets, Books... For FREE! All your
school does is pay return shipping. It takes about 6 weeks to get started,
but they are very prompt about shipping stuff.
I simply started out by ordering what interested me, showing it to the
students, discussing the artworks, and developing my own spin on lessons
built on the info in the images we studied.
Write for a catalog at:
Department of Educational Resouces
Extension Programs Section
National Gallery of Art
4th and Constitutional Ave, NW
Washington,DC 20565

> Sept......Hispanic Heritage
-Folk Arts of the Spanish Southwest
> Nov.......Native American
-The Far North
-Ancient Art of the American Woodland Indians
-Art of the American Indian Frontier
> Feb.......African-American History
-African Art
> Mar.......Women's History
-Impressionism
-Georgia O'Keefe(video purchased by school... not a National Gallery Video)
> May.......Asian Pacific
-The Art of Indonesia
-Daimyo
-The Chinese Past

Another Great Resource is Crizmac.... I found a URL for lots of
Multicultural Arts distributors
http://bioc09.uthscsa.edu/natnet/archive/nl/9403/0021.html

I am short on time at the moment.. if you want more info on the lessons I
developed, please contact me.
Have Fun!
