classroom evaluations/critiques

Hi,I teach elementary art; I see my students once a week for 50 minutes.
I'm trying to find ways to include class discussion/critique/evaluation
during each class, but it's difficult to fit it in. And I want to allow
discussion for all the children, not just a few. I've tried making
notations on a class list, so each student gets her/his work discussed
eventually; its alot of paperwork and maybe not a practical idea. How do
any of the rest of you handle this? I'd appreciate any feedback.
