I am interested in hearing from others ways that your administrators have
actively shown support for your programs.

Although I believe that my administrators appreciate what I do ....I don't
think that is the same as supporting what we do in the art program. One of
my administrators makes a point to thank me every year for all the hard
work I do in putting up the art show.....but I don't think he ever walks
through it to see the work (even though he says he does)! I feel that my
principals have little background in the arts, so as long as I maintain
good classroom discipline they figure that I am doing a good job and leave
me alone. Although being left alone to do to do what I want is great most
of the time, I would like to encourage my administrators to show more
interest, support, and respect for the art program.

I plan to start with a newsletter to keep parents and administrators up to
date on what is going on in the art classes.
