block scheduling

This fall my high school will be going to a four block schedule (90
mins. each). Has anyone out there experinced this type of schedule
change and found some interesting pros and cons. (We previously had 6
periods @ 55 mins. each.)

I don't mind change but I hate reinventing the wheel. It would be nice
to know if anyone has run across any gliches so as to make this
transition for me and my students easier.
