[teacherartexchange] How to use Art Textbook

Hey All,
In my district all the fine art teachers now have textbooks and they are great. I have a classroom set for my Fundamental of Art Students and my Ceramic Class both High School. I have never used a textbook before and kind of at a lose on how to use them. If anyone have any suggestion I would appreciate them. The books are The visual Experience and Experience Clay from Davis.

What I am looking for are ideas on how to incorporate them in my class.
